You are invited to MOSAIC, a 4-day conference for International Students from Monday, May 12 to Friday, May 16! We'll meet with other students from universities in the Eastern region of the United States at a conference center in the beautiful hills of Virginia.
What will happen at the conference? We will have fun games, small group discussions, a variety show, an inspirational speaker, musical worship, quality seminars (such as “Survey of the Bible” & “Cross-cultural Relationships”), and lots of time to build friendships. On Wednesday you can choose to go canoeing or travel to D.C. to visit the monuments and have a picnic at the National Mall.
Tell me about the speaker: We are truly privileged to have Saleim Kahleh as our speaker. Saleim has devoted the last 20 years of his life serving college students, and he currently serves as the Associate Director of Recreation at a university in Houston. Having grown up in loving Muslim home, he attended college and began a quest to find the truth about God and religion. Saleim has traveled all over the world sharing his story. We will enjoy his engaging and inspirational speaking in the evenings.
Do I need to be a Christian? No. Whatever your religious background, you are welcome to join us to simply observe Christian worship and teaching, and enjoy all of the many fun activities. Every year, many students attend who are not from a Christian worldview
Who’s invited? This event is for international students, American students, international staff, and anyone who is interested in international student ministry. It is hosted by Chi Alpha Campus Ministries/ISFM.
What’s the cost?: The cost of the conference is only $159 which includes your housing, meals, and the program. You will also need to bring some cash to purchase one meal and a metro pass ($6) on the excursion day. A deposit of $59 on this website will reserve your spot. (Deposit due by May 1). Limited need-based scholarships are available through your Chi Alpha director.
What are the travel details? Registration/check-in begins at 3 pm on Monday May 12. Dinner at 5:00 pm. Activities end officially late Thursday night. You will stay Friday night and depart early Friday morning, May 18 (no meals or activities are included on Friday).
